About Us

Welcome to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Hybrid Cooperative, where we offer a unique educational experience that blends faith and education. Our hybrid cooperative program is designed to support homeschooling families by providing a classroom experience for students two days a week. Our students attend formal classes in traditional brick-and-mortar style classrooms for part of the week, enabling them to interact with peers and learn from traditional teachers. They then work from home the remainder of the week to complete assignments and continue their learning.

While there are many hybrid programs available in Knoxville, we are the only Catholic option that firmly believes in the importance of blending faith and education. We have seen firsthand how this type of community fosters a rich foundation of faith in students as it is not merely a subject to be completed but an integral part of the day. At Immaculate Heart of Mary Hybrid Cooperative, our students not only receive an excellent education but also grow in their faith and become part of a supportive community.

We are looking for teachers for all grades – Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as nursery/preschool staff.

Teachers will work on campus 2 days per week with a set daily rate. Their responsibilities will include teaching the curriculum for all core subjects in their assigned grade as well as co-teaching 2 elective classes per semester (electives will be combined grades).

Teachers will not be required to prepare lesson plans. Lesson plans are done by the administration and will be provided to teachers and families in advance.

There will be a nursery/preschool option provided for those teaching on campus who have young children.

The main mission of our hybrid program is to create a rich, traditional Catholic community that fosters a strong foundation of our faith for our students and their families. Catechism is a core component of the education for all grades. While we encourage our staff to be practicing Catholics, it is not a requirement. We do, however, require all staff to uphold Catholic teachings while on campus.

It is not required that you be a certified teacher to apply. This position would be perfect for former or retired teachers or homeschool parents whose children attend the program.

Let’s work together

“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints.”
